The Carebears (TCB) returned shortly after their famous The Cuddly Demos and released the SoWatt Demo at their own demoscene party – held in Stockholm, Sweden in August of 1989. For the first time on the ST, a scrollable main menu without black borders appears in full-screen resolution. A masterpiece of programming.
This time TCB did not only bring their very best coding game but also their talented friends. Groups like 2-Life Crew, Omega, NoCrew and The Overlanders were on board. Unsurprisingly SoWatt is full of unbelievable visual effects – many of which were seen first time on Atari ST.
